Amplifying the Creative Power of Youth through Art with Big Brothers Big Sister Twin Cities
Free Arts is a youth mentoring program of Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities that amplifies the creative power of youth through weekly arts-based sessions led by caring adult mentors. In partnership with local artists, social service agencies and community organizations, Free Arts connects youth—many of whom have experienced systemic barriers—with opportunities for self-expression, healing, and personal growth through art.
Every donation made during the Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival directly supports this transformative program and helps bring creativity, connection, and mentorship to youth across the Twin Cities.
We’re hosting free art-making activities at this year’s upcoming Jackalope Arts fairs in Arvada,Pasadena, and Burbank, providing a hands-on, inspiring space for families to connect with the arts. We’re currently seeking those interested in supporting this effort.
At Jackalope Gives, we rely on the generosity of corporate sponsors to provide essential art supplies that fuel our programs and community projects. By partnering with us, your company can make a meaningful impact by helping us deliver high-quality materials to artists, youth, and community members who might otherwise go without. Together, we can nurture creativity, support artistic expression, and strengthen the communities we serve. If your company is interested in joining us as a sponsor, please get in touch—we’d love to explore how we can collaborate!
Past Projects:

Supporting Jackalope Artisans Affected by Fires
Jackalope Gives spent the first half of 2025 fundraising on behalf of several Jackalope Arts artisans who have lost their homes in the recent wildfires across Southern California.
Artists We Have Supported:
Altadena Maid: Rene helps folks create beautiful year-'round native wildflower gardens from seed with handmade wildflower seedbark, homegrown crystals, hand-finished hiking sticks, and garden-related items.
Rene lost his home in Altadena and will need our support to recover from this.
Srimoyee Handmade: Srimoyee, Aneesh, Lucky, and Murphy could use our love and support in this next chapter after they lost their home in the Eaton fire.
Through her work on Srimoyee Handmade, she has donated over $10,000 to help cats and cat lovers across the country, giving to Pasadena Humane Society, Trap Dat Cat in NOLA, San Francisco SPCA, Mercer Animal Rescue, and Feral Cat Coalition.
Heartprint Press Co-founder of Heartprint Press, Nikki Rifkin, lost her home and all her belongings in the Palisades fire. She, her son, husband, and dog are safe but they were only able to save a few photo albums. Everything else burned.
This is beyond devastating for Nikki, her family, and our small business Heartprint Press. We are just a two person team and the future for Heartprint is uncertain.
Pottery Daily Heather Morrow, an Altadena resident, has lost her home in the Eaton fire.
As a ceramic artist and talented photographer, Heather will now have to focus on rebuilding her beloved home.
Antenna Studio Rosana, a surface designer and artist lost her home, all her belongings, inventory and art, in the Eaton fire.
Altadena Cookie Co Michelle with Altadena Cookie Co and her two kids, Holly and Elliot, have unfortunately lost their home to the Eaton Fire. Your help will fund temporary housing, food, clothing, and personal care items for the Taylor family as they navigate this tragedy.
